Continuing Education Opportunity in 2025 Join us at Serendipity Yoga for a Weekend with Amanda Tripp Dates: Friday, May 2nd Saturday, May 3rd Sunday, May 4th Cost: Early Bird Registration: $300 (up to April 17th, 2025) Standard Registration: $350 (after early bird date) Schedule: Friday Evening: 6:00pm - 8:30pm Saturday & Sunday: 11:30am - 6:00pm Training Focus: Many older adults are discovering yoga as a powerful way to stay strong, flexible, and balanced in body, mind, and spirit. Whether you’re a yoga instructor seeking specialized skills or someone passionate about healthy movement and aging, this weekend training will prepare you with the knowledge to safely and effectively support older adults—or yourself. This training will cover: - The physiology of aging - Benefits and risks of yoga for seniors - Adapting yoga postures to manage common conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and balance issues - Teaching strategies specific to older adults, emphasizing safety and accessibility - Techniques to enhance strength, stability, reduce fall risk, and improve functional movement What’s Included: - A detailed training manual - Adaptable class sequences - A problem-solving approach to designing safe, supportive, and engaging practices - Hands-on teaching experience in a supportive environment to build your confidence and skills About the Instructor: Amanda Tripp is a Registered Kinesiologist, Yoga/Yoga Tune Up® instructor, and Pilates teacher with additional certifications in Exercise for Cancer, Yoga for Arthritis, and BoneFit® by Osteoporosis Canada. Amanda blends philosophy, movement science, and years of classroom experience to deliver dynamic, accessible, and thoughtfully crafted training sessions. With expertise in accessible practices for people of all ages and abilities, Amanda has trained movement professionals across Canada and internationally.
