Foundations of Yoga

New to yoga, need a refresher or hoping to freshen your practice?
Foundations of Yoga is the perfect opportunity to practice in a small group setting (in studio or online via Zoom) and feel comfortable on your mat.
We will focus on the fundamentals of poses and guide you from the mat up.
All one hour sessions are suitable for every body and everybody.
$65 for a six week series or $15 drop in per session.

Yoga Sampler

If you're new to yoga or interested in expanding your practice you have a lot of options. There are many types of yoga to choose from.
With any style of yoga, you can boost your strength, get more flexible, and improve your balance. And all yoga styles release tension in your body, quiet your mind, and help you relax.
A six week series where each week we practice and discuss the benefits of the following different styles of yoga.
Hatha, Yin Yoga, Restorative Yoga, Yoga Nida, Vinyasa &
Ashtanga
$65 for the six week series or $15 drop in per session.

Functional Fitness

You will be lead through a range of body weighted strength and mobility exercises to increase strength, mobility, balance and flexibility. This is an opportunity for you to step away from your desk and/or the couch to combat the aches and pains that occur from sitting. I will introduce gentle, exploratory movements to retrain and reawaken the brain and create body awareness from the usual everyday activities.

**Please note that this class is informal and “workshop-y” and fun is encouraged.
$50 for a six week series or $15 drop in per session.

Meditation

Meditation is a precise technique for resting the mind and attaining a state of
consciousness that is totally different from the normal waking state. In
meditation, the mind is clear, relaxed, and inwardly focused. When you
meditate, you are fully awake and alert, but your mind is not focused on the
external world or on the events taking place around you. Meditation requires
an inner state that is still and one-pointed so that the mind becomes silent.

Yoga Nidra

Yoga Nidra is a practice that’s becoming increasingly popular as both a form
of meditation and a mind-body therapy. It is a systematic form of guided
relaxation likened to a cross between guided meditation and therapeutic
hypnotherapy which easily and smoothly relaxes you into a state of calm
awareness. It is deeply relaxing, safe and nurturing. Practitioners say that it
often brings immediate physical benefits, such as reduced stress and better
sleep, and that it has the potential to heal psychological wounds. As a
meditation practice, it can offer a profound sense of peace and well-being.

Hatha Flow

Hatha flow is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Flow yoga classes tend to be more vigorous and aerobic, and classes can have a variety of music and themes.
