Yin Yoga

Yin yoga targets your deep connective tissues, like your fascia, ligaments, joints, and bones. Creating space and length in your body.

It’s slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body.

Because you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts.

Yoga Fitness

An hour long practice where we build on traditional Hatha poses with weights and props (optional) to increase strength and cardiovascular endurance.

Will it be challenging? Yes!

Is it fun? Yes!

Does it build functional fitness to assist you throughout your daily activities? Yes!

Sounds like Win, Win, Win.

Functional Fitness

You will be lead through a range of body weighted strength and mobility exercises to increase strength, mobility, balance and flexibility. This is an opportunity for you to step away from your desk and/or the couch to combat the aches and pains that occur from sitting. I will introduce gentle, exploratory movements to retrain and reawaken the brain and create body awareness from the usual everyday activities.

**Please note that this class is informal and “workshop-y” and fun is encouraged.

Hatha

Hatha yoga uses the breath to create a link between the body and the mind. In this practice, postures are used to align, strengthen and promote flexibility in the body. You will learn to still the mind and be present in the moment. In addition to more flexibility and strength, this practice will lead to all the other usual benefits of yoga--reduced stress, lower blood pressure, more energy and better sleep.

Rise & Shine

Experience the benefits of waking up to yoga as you stretch your body, awaken your mind, and fuel your spirit. Salute the sun with a smile and gracefully work out all of the kinks and tightness from your night's sleep. You'll feel energized, have amazing mental clarity, and will be ready to flow through your day with ease.

Gentle Hatha

Gentle yoga is essentially what it sounds like—a gentler style of out hatha yoga practice. It is performed at a slower pace, with less intense asanas. Modifications are done to help people of all fitness levels enjoy the benefits of yoga without putting themselves at risk for injuries. There is a stronger emphasis on stretching, seated poses and low-impact movements in these practices.

Hatha Flow

Hatha flow is a dynamic style of Hatha yoga which joins physical postures, or asanas, with inhales and exhales, creating a steady internal rhythm for the practice. Our Flow classes are designed to cultivate heat in the body with creative sequences involving sun salutations, standing and seated postures, back bending, arm balancing, and a strong focus on the power of breath awareness. Flow yoga classes tend to be more vigorous and aerobic, and classes can have a variety of music and themes.

Foundations of Yoga

New to yoga, need a refresher or hoping to freshen your practice?
Foundations of Yoga is the perfect opportunity to practice in a small group setting (in studio or online via Zoom) and feel comfortable on your mat.
We will focus on the fundamentals of poses and guide you from the mat up.
All one hour sessions are suitable for every body and everybody.

Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is a deeply soothing inward form of yoga where the body is placed in highly therapeutic postures that are supported with soft bolsters, blocks and cozy blankets while the mind is invited to slow down.
